House Concerts

A quick-guide to curating live music experiences in your home.

What it is

This is an invitation-only concert that you curate in your home for friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. It is an opportunity to provide a unique experience while supporting musicians you love. You do not make a profit when hosting as all donations go directly to the artists.

Size up the space

We find playing for a minimum of 20 people produces a festive, yet intimate, environment. Each guest needs a seat and everyone should be in the same room. Outdoor spaces work, weather and neighbors permitting. Room for more than 20? Invite away!

Building excitement

Images and audio files will be delivered a month prior for you to share with your guests each week leading up to the concert. We can also set up a FB Event page or Evite for you. Open to welcoming local fans in your area? Let us know!

Your time

Guests should arrive one hour before the music for hellos and catching up. The music will last about an hour and then one more hour for post-gig mingling and CD sales. With set-up/tear-down, we will be in your home for 4 hours total, give or take.

Curating

We happily take advance requests like a favorite 80’s tune or rock ballad. We also perform SongSonnets™, a curated set list around the theme of your choosing. Past Sonnets have told stories about a couple’s 50th wedding anniversary and the elements of a modern day relationship. Birthday’s work, too!

Donations

We love sharing our gifts with you and your guests and hope you will share your gifts with us in return! As host, you will close out the event by thanking everyone for coming and encouraging donations for the musicians. If you are a nervous speaker, we are happy to coach you.

Thank you!
